In a first for Pearce International we were engaged by the England and Wales Cricket Board to provide photo management for the International Cricket Council’s prestigious Champions’ Trophy and also for key matches in the Women’s World Cup.
Pitching the best 8 teams in the world against each other in the fast moving one day international format, this tournament has packed stadia, passionate and noisy fans and wonderful atmosphere and saw Pakistan beat India in a thrilling final – the most watched sporting event in the world this year.
place in Derby, Bristol, Taunton and Leicester with an incredible final in the famous Lord’s Cricket Ground where England came from behind to defeat India by 9 runs in one of the most dramatic comebacks ever seen in the sport.
The Champions’ Trophy took place in three famous cricket stadia in London, Birmingham and Cardiff with an action packed 15 matches over 18 days. The Women’s World Cup took
Pearce International was there throughout the tournament to ensure the best possible photographs were made. The sport is rich in tradition, but also open to new ideas and we were pleased to make some small innovations to improve conditions for photographers and leave the best visual legacy for the sport.
Although we were engaged at a very late stage, we hope to be doing plenty more work with cricket in the future. Howzat!
